SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 wish to express their sincere condolences to the family and
4 friends of Joyce L. Dunbar of Benton who passed away on Monday,
5 January 8, 2007; and
 
6     WHEREAS, Joyce L. Dunbar was born on September 18, 1935 in
7 Benton to Kenneth H. and Billie (Overturf) Goff; she was united
8 in marriage to Joe Dunbar; and
 
9     WHEREAS, She went to work as a bookkeeper as soon as she
10 was out of school for Western Union in Rockford; following her
11 marriage she worked for a food company in Rapid City, South
12 Dakota doing ordering and pricing while her husband was in the
13 service; she then worked as an abstractor for a title company
14 in Benton, and at different times as a bookkeeper for the Trade
15 Newspaper, Freeman 4 Mine, American Beauty Nursing Home, and
16 for the First Baptist Church in Benton where she was also a
17 dedicated member; and
 
18     WHEREAS, The passing of Joyce L. Dunbar has been deeply
19 felt by many, especially by her husband, Joe Dunbar; her sons
20 and daughters-in-law, Robert and Jennifer Dunbar and Scott and
21 Rhonda Dunbar; her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Kyle
22 Schmitt; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Moore and Kara Dunbar,

1 Alecia Dunbar and Dustin Dunbar, Daniel Schmitt and Kymberly
2 Schmitt, Andrew Scott Dunbar, Jama Dunbar and Heather Conner,
3 Tara Horton and Catie Hampton; her great-grandchildren,
4 Dawson, Azhure, Shanndyn, Kamden, Haliegh and Jayden; and her
5 sister, Carol Williams; she was preceded in death by her
6 parents; therefore, be it
 
7     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
8 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9 Joyce L. Dunbar, and extend our sincere condolences to her
10 family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
11 further
 
12     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy be presented to her family
13 as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
