| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | | 3 |
| learn of the death of
Mary Waller, who passed away on July 30, | | 4 |
| 2007; and
| | 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mary Waller was born on October 16, 1915 in | | 6 |
| Portorsville, Mississippi, the second of five children; her | | 7 |
| parents were Ezekiel and Isabella Henley; she married Robert | | 8 |
| Waller in 1940; and
| | 9 |
| WHEREAS, Mary Waller was preceded in death by her husband; | | 10 |
| her siblings, Charles Henley, Harvey Henley, and Susie Harris; | | 11 |
| and her daughter, Annie Mae; and
| | 12 |
| WHEREAS, Mary Waller is survived by her children, Robert | | 13 |
| Lee (Helen) Muhammad, Halif (Shakirah) Muhammad, Aaisha | | 14 |
| Muhammad, and Munir (Aminah) Muhammad; her sister, Magnolia | | 15 |
| Jones; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and 3 | | 16 |
| great-great grandchildren; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL | | 18 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | | 19 |
| his or her family and friends, the passing of Mary Waller; and | | 20 |
| be it further
