SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Carol Riebock, who passed away on September 5, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Carol Riebock served as a Bible teacher and head of the Bible Department at Wheaton Academy in Wheaton for 18 years; she served as the head of Wheaton Academy's music and drama programs, and was actively involved with the drama productions with the Wheaton Christian Grammar School; she served as the Wheaton Academy Chaplain during the early 1990s; and she was a well-known class sponsor and avid spectator at student events; and

WHEREAS, Carol Riebock is survived by her children, Corbett, Josh, and Quinn; her son-in-law, Josh Burick; and her daughter-in-law, Kristen Riebock; and

WHEREAS, Carol Riebock's love of God and her students was well known throughout the halls of Wheaton Academy; her insightful comments, eclectic fashion style, and wonderful sense of humor will be remembered and missed by her students and fellow teachers; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Carol Riebock; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Carol Riebock as an expression of our sympathy.
