SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Steve Williams, who passed away on September 28, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Steve Williams was born on July 15, 1959; his parents were Eugene Sr. and Susie Williams; he attended Beethoven Elementary School and DuSable High School; and

WHEREAS, Steve Williams was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Sr. and Susie; and his brother, Robert Williams; and

WHEREAS, Steve Williams is survived by his loving wife, Verna Williams; his sons, Steve (Emerick) and Stevan; his daughters, Arquilla, Angela, and Angelic; his grandchildren, Steve III, Guchquita, Lavetta, Jasmine, Timmie, Trevon, and Tyler; his sisters, Hattie (Lott) and Estella (Benjamin); his brothers, Eugene Jr. (Darcelle), Michael, and Raymond (Lucille); and his uncle, David (Eva) Williams; and

WHEREAS, Steve Williams will be remembered by all who knew and loved him as a hard worker with a great personality and as a eminently dependable person who always kept his word, no matter the cost; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Steve Williams; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Steve Williams as an expression of our sympathy.
