SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lorraine F. Ratliff of Zion, formerly of Waukegan, who passed away on November 15, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Lorraine F. Ratliff graduated from Waukegan High School with the Class of 1940; and

WHEREAS, Lorraine F. Ratliff worked as a keypunch operator at Fan Steel and the Lake County Court House; she was also the President of the Residence Council at Rolling Hills Place; and

WHEREAS, Lorraine F. Ratliff was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ratliff; her son, Joseph Ratliff II; her brother, David (Mary) Griffin; and her parents, Earl and Anna Griffin; and

WHEREAS, Lorraine F. Ratliff is survived by her son, Ralph (Sue) Ratliff; her daughters, Joyce Raidart and Sharon Ratliff; her nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; her nephew, Ron (Karen) Griffin; and her niece, Bonnie (Don) Dixon; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Lorraine F. Ratliff; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lorraine F. Ratliff as an expression of our sympathy.
