SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 52

 
2     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
3 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that there is created a
4 Senate Task Force on the Illinois Procurement Code for the
5 purpose of examining the bidding process on State of Illinois
6 contracts, particularly on the preference given to Illinois
7 businesses; and be it further
 
8     RESOLVED, That the Senate Task Force on the Illinois
9 Procurement Code shall consist of the following members:
10         (1) A chairperson who is a member of the Senate,
11     appointed by the President of the Senate;
12         (2) 4 members of the Senate, 2 of whom are appointed by
13     the President of the Senate and 2 of whom are appointed by
14     the Minority Leader of the Senate;
15         (3) 2 staff members of the Department of Central
16     Management Services appointed by the Director of Central
17     Management Services; and
18         (4) 2 staff members of the Procurement Policy Board
19     appointed by the Procurement Policy Board; and be it
20     further
 
21     RESOLVED, That the members shall serve on a voluntary basis
22 and shall be responsible for any costs associated with their
23 participation in the Senate Task Force; and be it further

1     RESOLVED, That all members of the Senate Task Force shall
2 be considered to be members with voting rights, that a quorum
3 of the Senate Task Force shall consist of a simple majority of
4 the members of the Senate Task Force, and that all actions and
5 recommendations of the Senate Task Force be approved by a
6 simple majority of the members of the Senate Task Force; and be
7 it further
 
8     RESOLVED, That the Senate Task Force on the Illinois
9 Procurement Code shall meet at the call of the chairperson and
10 shall summarize its findings and recommendations in a report to
11 the Senate no later than December 31, 2008.
