SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Tressa (DeMattei) Sevenski of Benton, who passed away on March 4, 2008; and

WHEREAS, She was born October 4, 1917, in Benton, the daughter of Louis DeMattei and Louise (Airaghi) DeMattei; she married Joseph Sevenski on November 11, 1940; and

WHEREAS, She retired as a secretary for the Benton Grade School District and later for Farm Supply in Benton; she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Benton; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Sevenski was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her five brothers, Michael, Robert, John, Lester, and Joseph DeMattei; and her sister, Rosa Dill; and

WHEREAS, Tressa Sevenski is survived by her two sons, Michael Sevenski and wife, Donna, and Stephen Sevenski and wife, Deloris; her three grandchildren, David Sevenski and wife, Pam, Jennifer Myre and husband, Randy, and Scott Sevenski; her six great-grandchildren, Sean and Seth Sevenski, and Matthew, Michael, Cameron, and Carly Myre; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the death of Tressa Sevenski; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Tressa Sevenski as a symbol of our sympathy.
