SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William J. "Billy" Quigley Jr. of Wilmington, who passed away on November 26, 2008; and

WHEREAS, He was born October 6, 1987, in Joliet; he was raised in Wilmington and was a 2006 graduate of Wilmington High School; and

WHEREAS, William J. "Billy" Quigley Jr was employed by McDonald's Restaurant in Wilmington for the past five years and most recently served as a crew manager; he had also worked for Levy Restaurants at the Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet; and

WHEREAS, He was currently an honor student at Illinois State University in Normal, where he was named to the dean's list; he was active in university activities and was the director of membership with the University Program Board (UPD); he was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and enjoyed music, concerts, photography, and going to water parks; and

WHEREAS, William Quigley Jr. was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Marvin and Mary Quigley; his maternal grandfather, John Alsbury; and one uncle, Skip Alsbury; and

WHEREAS, The passing of William J. "Billy" Quigley Jr. will be deeply felt by his parents, William J. Quigley Sr. and Geri Alsbury Quigley; his two sisters, Carrie Quigley and Jenny Quigley; his maternal grandmother, Janet Alsbury; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of William J. "Billy" Quigley Jr.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of William J. "Billy" Quigley Jr. as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
