SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of William J. "Billy" Quigley Jr. of
4 Wilmington, who passed away on November 26, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, He was born October 6, 1987, in Joliet; he was
6 raised in Wilmington and was a 2006 graduate of Wilmington High
7 School; and
 
8     WHEREAS, William J. "Billy" Quigley Jr was employed by
9 McDonald's Restaurant in Wilmington for the past five years and
10 most recently served as a crew manager; he had also worked for
11 Levy Restaurants at the Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet; and
 
12     WHEREAS, He was currently an honor student at Illinois
13 State University in Normal, where he was named to the dean's
14 list; he was active in university activities and was the
15 director of membership with the University Program Board (UPD);
16 he was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and enjoyed music,
17 concerts, photography, and going to water parks; and
 
18     WHEREAS, William Quigley Jr. was preceded in death by his
19 paternal grandparents, Marvin and Mary Quigley; his maternal
20 grandfather, John Alsbury; and one uncle, Skip Alsbury; and

1     WHEREAS, The passing of William J. "Billy" Quigley Jr. will
2 be deeply felt by his parents, William J. Quigley Sr. and Geri
3 Alsbury Quigley; his two sisters, Carrie Quigley and Jenny
4 Quigley; his maternal grandmother, Janet Alsbury; and several
5 aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
 
6     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
7 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
8 his family and friends, the passing of William J. "Billy"
9 Quigley Jr.; and be it further
 
10     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11 presented to the family of William J. "Billy" Quigley Jr. as a
12 symbol of our sincere sympathy.
