SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Donald A. Drasler of Gurnee, who passed away on January 21, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Donald A. Drasler was born June 8, 1942 in Waukegan; he was a graduate of Mother of God in Waukegan, St. Bedes in LaSalle-Peru and attended Marquette University; and

WHEREAS, He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Gurnee, the Professional Golfer's Association of America since 1965, and the Knights of Columbus Council 731 in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Drasler was a golf professional and golf club maker; he was employed at the Old Elm Club since 1972; prior to that he worked at Onwentsia Club and the Paradise Valley Club in Phoenix; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas; and his parents, Gasper and Helen Drasler; and

WHEREAS, Donald Drasler is survived by his wife of 39 years, Susan McCaffrey Drasler; his daughter, Colleen (James) Engel; his granddaughter, Brenna Engel; his brother, John (Pat) Drasler; and his sister, Sister Mary Ellen; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Donald A. Drasler; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Donald A. Drasler as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
