SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lawrence P. McDaniel of Benld, who passed away on November 23, 2008; and

WHEREAS, He was born on January 6, 1947, to Lawrence W. and Della Alexander McDaniel; and

WHEREAS, He was a supervisor of assessments for Macoupin County; he was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2076 of Gillespie, 3rd and 4th Degree, a member of the Croation Fraternal Lodge #217 of Benld, and a member of the Benld OWLS; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence McDaniel is survived by his wife, Catherine; his sons, David (Staci) and John J. McDaniel; his daughters, Lisa McDaniel and Vicki (Bill) McCourt; his grandchildren, Brandi Schoen, Amber McCourt, Corey Tangman, Stefanie McCourt, Kyle Tangman, Chandler McDaniel, and Alyssa McDaniel; his great-grandchildren; his brothers, David and Dale McDaniel; and his sisters, Bev Anderson, Tecia Hennessey, and Karen Bandy; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Lawrence P. McDaniel; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lawrence P. McDaniel as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
