| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Raymond "Dave" Rankin of Rock Island, | 4 | | formally of Geneseo, who passed away on August 1, 2022; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Dave Rankin was born in Macomb on August 25, | 6 | | 1943; he was the son of Dale and Helen (Hamm) Rankin; he served | 7 | | in the U.S. Air Force, where he was stationed in Turkey; he | 8 | | married Mary Setser in 1967, and they had two daughters; he | 9 | | married Sandra Jones in 1977; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Dave Rankin worked at Henderson Ford Sales in | 11 | | Aledo for many years; his final place of employment was Kraft | 12 | | Foods, from which he retired in 2003; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Dave Rankin was passionate about cars, including | 14 | | buying, selling, driving, talking about, and showing them; he | 15 | | owned several Mustangs throughout his life and spent many | 16 | | weekends at car shows; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Dave Rankin was preceded in death by his parents; | 18 | | his daughter, Tamala; his brother, Richard (Marsha) Rankin; | 19 | | and his sister, Jane Kuehn; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Dave Rankin is survived by his wife, Sandra; his |

| 1 | | daughters, Melissa Hayward and Angela (Chris) Beckner; his | 2 | | stepchildren, Theresa (Gale) Jones and Christopher (Tamela) | 3 | | Jones; his sister, Sherry Chaney; his six grandchildren; and | 4 | | his three great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 7 | | Raymond "Dave" Rankin and extend our sincere condolences to | 8 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 9 | | further
