SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert "Bob" G. Krueger of Rock Island, who passed away on May 1, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Robert Krueger was born to Roy and Mildred (Rounds) Krueger in Muscatine, Iowa on February 23, 1938; he married Sandra Lingafelter in Preemption on December 18, 1965; he served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Franklin Roosevelt; and

WHEREAS, Robert Krueger worked as a machine repairman for JI Case and Case IH; he helped drive cars for Erickson Chevrolet to other dealerships; and

WHEREAS, Robert Krueger was highly involved in the Milan Little League and Senior League and coached five state championship teams; and

WHEREAS, Robert Krueger was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bulls fan; he enjoyed woodworking, bowling, golfing, and landscaping his yard with flowers and plants; most of all, he loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and to watch them play sports; and

WHEREAS, Robert Krueger was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Jackie Atkinson, Roland Krueger, and Richard Krueger; and

WHEREAS, Robert Krueger is survived by his wife; his daughter, Annette Hillyer; his son, Kevin (Natasha) Krueger; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Adam, Evan, and Abigail Hillyer and Tyrus, Nolan, and Tenley Krueger; his great-grandson, Jackson Hillyer; and his sister, Marilyn Beam; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert "Bob" G. Krueger and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Krueger as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
