SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Harry "Hal" A. Loucks of Rock Island, who passed away on July 21, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Hal Loucks was born to Edward J. and Helen A. Hughes Loucks in Troy, New York on August 10, 1944; he graduated from Lansingburgh High School in New York; after high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served from 1962 to 1966; he married Sylvia Finch in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 5, 2002; and

WHEREAS, For the majority of his career, Hal Loucks worked in finance for the banking industry; in his later years, he spent time working in sales for a variety of organizations; and

WHEREAS, Hal Loucks enjoyed bowling, telling jokes, and traveling; he was an avid NASCAR, Chicago Bears, and Chicago Cubs fan; and

WHEREAS, Hal Loucks is survived by his wife, Sylvia Loucks; his children, Chad (Tia) Loucks and Jodi (Dave) Lubkeman; his stepchildren, Jody (Dennis) Martin, Rick (Laurie) Finch, and Kim (Bill) Crandall; his grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; his nieces and nephews; his brother, E. John Loucks; and his sister, Alicia Nelson; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Harry "Hal" A. Loucks and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Hal Loucks as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
