SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
225 ILCS 55/57 new
225 ILCS 107/61 new

    Amends the Marriage and Family Therapy Licensing Act and the Professional Counselor and Clinical Professional Counselor Licensing and Practice Act. Provides that during State Fiscal Years 2023, 2024, and 2025, the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation shall allow individuals a one-time waiver of fees imposed under relevant provisions of the Acts. Provides that no individual may benefit from such a waiver more than once. Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning regulation.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Marriage and Family Therapy Licensing Act
5is amended by adding Section 57 as follows:
 
6    (225 ILCS 55/57 new)
7    Sec. 57. Fee waiver. Notwithstanding any provision of law
8to the contrary, during State Fiscal Years 2023, 2024, and
92025, the Department shall allow individuals a one-time waiver
10of fees imposed under Sections 30, 35, 45, 55, and 65 of this
11Act. No individual may benefit from such a waiver more than
12once.
 
13    Section 10. The Professional Counselor and Clinical
14Professional Counselor Licensing and Practice Act is amended
15by adding Section 61 as follows:
 
16    (225 ILCS 107/61 new)
17    Sec. 61. Fee waiver. Notwithstanding any provision of law
18to the contrary, during State Fiscal Years 2023, 2024, and
192025, the Department shall allow individuals a one-time waiver
20of fees imposed under Sections 35, 40, 45, 50, 60, and 70 of
21this Act. No individual may benefit from such a waiver more

2    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
3becoming law.
