SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

20 ILCS 405/405-135 new

Amends the Civil Administrative Code. Authorizes the Department of Central Management Services to provide coordination, support, and adjudication for State agencies' administrative hearing functions through its Bureau of Administrative Hearings. Authorizes the Department to enact rules as necessary to implement the changes. Effective immediately.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning State government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Department of Central Management Services Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding Section 405-135 as follows:

(20 ILCS 405/405-135 new)

Sec. 405-135. Coordination, support, and adjudication. The Department of Central Management Services is authorized to provide coordination, support, and adjudication for State agencies' administrative hearings functions through its Bureau of Administrative Hearings. The Department is authorized to enact rules as necessary to implement this Section.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
