1     AN ACT concerning State government.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     Section 5. The Illinois Underground Railroad Task Force
5 Act is amended by changing Section 15 as follows:

6     (20 ILCS 4125/15)
7     (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2025)
8     Sec. 15. Meetings, report.
9     (a) The Task Force shall meet at least 3 times with the
10 first meeting occurring within 60 days after the effective
11 date of this Act.
12     (b) The Task Force shall review available research,
13 existing infrastructure and projects, best practices, and
14 effective interventions to formulate recommendations.
15     (c) The Task Force shall prepare a report detailing the
16 Task Force's findings and recommendations and needed
17 resources. The Task Force shall submit a report of its
18 findings and recommendations to the General Assembly and the
19 Governor on or before December 31 ~~July 1~~, 2024.
