SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Larry Peasley of Maroa, who passed away on January 4, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Larry Peasley was born to Paul and Mary (Purlee) Peasley in Lincoln on August 10, 1946; he married Janet Oakes in Maroa on May 30, 1980; and

WHEREAS, Larry Peasley served on the Maroa Fire Department for 43 years; and

WHEREAS, Larry Peasley enjoyed watching Maroa-Forsyth sports; and

WHEREAS, Larry Peasley was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers, James and Richard; and

WHEREAS, Larry Peasley is survived by his wife, Janet; his children, J.D. (Tara) Peasley and Tim (Cailin) Peasley; and his three grandchildren, Marina Rohman, Addelyn Peasley, and Hayden Peasley; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Larry Peasley and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Larry Peasley as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
