SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Lillie Berger Hunter, who passed away
4on June 2, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Lillie Berger Hunter was born to Deree and Horace
6Berger in New Edinburg, Arkansas on December 20, 1954; she
7attended DuSable High School in Chicago; she then attended
8DePaul University; she married Elbert T. Hunter on October 14,
91979; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Lillie Berger Hunter was employed by BMO Harris
11Bank for 40 years, where she held numerous positions before
12eventually obtaining the status of vice president; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Lillie Berger Hunter was preceded in death by her
14parents; her son, Ahmad Hunter; and her brothers, Jerry Berger
15and Luther Ray Mosley; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Lillie Berger Hunter is survived by her husband,
17Elbert; her son, Akeem Hunter; her brothers, Glenn Berger,
18Joseph Berger, and James Berger; her sister, Vernance Helms;
19her sisters-in-law, Delma Hunter and Alicia Renee Berger; her
20brother-in-law, Euclid Hunter; her granddaughter, Ariel
21Hunter; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends; therefore,

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Lillie Berger Hunter and extend our sincere condolences to her
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Lillie Berger Hunter as an
9expression of our deepest sympathy.
