SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

Makes appropriations from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency for grants to the City of Morris for costs associated with landfill closures and landfill well monitoring. Effective July 1, 2025.

AN ACT making appropriations.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The amount of $17,700,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency for a grant to the City of Morris for costs associated with landfill closures.

Section 10. The amount of $425,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency for a grant to the City of Morris for costs associated with landfill well monitoring.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2025.
