SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

405 ILCS 49/20 new

Amends the Children's Mental Health Act of 2003. Provides that any screening services provided under the Children's Mental Health Plan must be voluntary and conducted with parental consent and in accordance with the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Code. Effective immediately.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Children's Mental Health Act of 2003 is amended by adding Section 20 as follows:

(405 ILCS 49/20 new)

Sec. 20. Screening services. Any screening services provided under the Children's Mental Health Plan must be voluntary and conducted with parental consent and in accordance with the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Code.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
