SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
35 ILCS 200/21-140

    Amends the Property Tax Code. In provisions concerning printer's errors in tax sale publications, allows the collector to republish the list at any time before sale, in a newspaper of general circulation, and include any unpaid parcels in the annual tax sale without further notification. Effective immediately.

1     AN ACT concerning revenue.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Property Tax Code is amended by changing
5 Section 21-140 as follows:
 
6     (35 ILCS 200/21-140)
7     Sec. 21-140. Printer's error in advertisement. In all cases
8 where there is a printer's error in the advertised list which
9 could prevent prevents judgment from being obtained against any
10 property, or against all of the delinquent list, at the time
11 stated in the advertisement, the printer shall lose the
12 compensation allowed by this Code for those properties
13 containing errors, or for the entire list, as the case may be,
14 and the collector may republish the list at any time before
15 sale, in a newspaper of general circulation, and include any
16 unpaid parcels in the annual tax sale without further
17 notification..

19     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
20 becoming law.
