SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

10 ILCS 5/18-8.06 new

Amends the School Code. Provides that any school district that compensates its administrators, faculty, teachers, or other personnel more than the State Superintendent of Education is prohibited from receiving aid under specified provisions. Effective July 1, 2010.

AN ACT concerning education.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Election Code is amended by adding Section 18-8.06 as follows:

(10 ILCS 5/18-8.06 new)

Sec. 18-8.06. Compensation greater than State Superintendent of Education; prohibition of aid. A school district that compensates its administrators, faculty, teachers, or other personnel more than the State Superintendent of Education is prohibited from receiving aid under Section 18-8.05 of this Code.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2010.
