HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Sue Hickerson, Director of Medical Services for the Community Nurse Health Association on being awarded the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago 2010 Hero Award in the Nurse category; and

WHEREAS, The Community Nurse Health Association provides primary healthcare and supportive services to low income families in the western suburbs of Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Sue will be honored at the 2010 Heroes Breakfast on April 14, 2010; Sue will receive the Nurse Award for providing health services to more than 1,500 low-income children and families; because of her dedication to at-risk patients, her clinic received the "Excellence in Immunization Efforts Award" for three years in row from the Chicago Area Immunization Campaign; and

WHEREAS, She was nominated for her outstanding compassion and care for children and their families in the community; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Sue Hickerson and wish her all the best in her future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Sue Hickerson as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
