1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate Captain Edward
4 Hershberger of the Normal Fire Department on his retirement;
5 and

6     WHEREAS, Captain Hershberger will retire on April 16, 2010,
7 after completing 28 years of service to the people of Normal
8 and McLean County; and

9     WHEREAS, He began his career with the Normal Fire
10 Department on October 5, 1981; and

11     WHEREAS, He was promoted to Lieutenant on April 29, 1995;
12 and

13     WHEREAS, He was promoted to Captain on July 30, 1998; and

14     WHEREAS, He has served his community and his profession
15 with dignity, dedication, and the highest standards of
16 integrity; therefore, be it

17     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
19 congratulate Captain Edward Hershberger on his retirement and

1 wish him all the best in his future endeavors; and be it
2 further

3     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to Captain Edward Hershberger as a symbol of our
5 respect and esteem.
