1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of
4 Painters District Council 14 on the occasion of the
5 organization's 100th anniversary on July 9, 2010; and

6     WHEREAS, Painters District Council 14 was organized on July
7 9, 1910 to standardize all contracts and form a single pension
8 amongst the several locals in the area; and

9     WHEREAS, Painters District Council 14 has around 4,700
10 members, which include tapers, painters, glaziers,
11 woodfinishers, and sign painters from throughout Cook County,
12 Will County, Lake County, and Grundy County; and

13     WHEREAS, The members of Painters District Council 14 serve
14 as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the
15 people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

16     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
17 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
18 congratulate the members of Painters District Council 14 on the
19 occasion of the organization's 100th anniversary and wish them
20 continued success and happiness in the future; and be it
21 further

1     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to Painters District Council 14 as a symbol of our
3 esteem and respect.
