1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The Chicago Board of Education does not provide
3 proper notification to parents of students in schools before
4 the adoption of a Track E (year-round) calendar; therefore, be
5 it

6     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
7 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
8 urge the Chicago Board of Education to adopt rules that require
9 the signatures of a majority of parents of students in a school
10 and require that 2 public hearings be held at varying times of
11 the day to ensure the maximum attendance by parents before the
12 school may operate on a Track E (year-round) calendar; and be
13 it further

14     RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be presented to
15 the Chicago Board of Education.
