HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the Titan Baseball Team from Illinois Wesleyan University on the occasion of the team's 2010 championship season; and

WHEREAS, The Titans had 31 season wins; the team's overall season record was 31-21; and

WHEREAS, The Titans' season record included victories in the team's final 11 of 12 games and the team's final 17 of 21 games, which concluded with a 17-5 win over SUNY Cortland in the NCAA Division III National Championship; and

WHEREAS, The National Champion Titans are led by Head Coach Dennis Martel, Assistant Coaches Matt Willey, Tim Siegworth, Ed Moore, and Mike Brown, and Trainer Bill Kauth; and

WHEREAS, The National Champion Titans are Matt Caruso, Ryan Hopp, Paul Kabbes, Brent Kulavic, Casey McIntosh, Brett Moore, Mike Morrissey, Alex Tosi, Jeff Grodecki, Marc North, Jason Pankau, William Dillon, Patrick Hayn, Mark McDermott, Chris Tapia, E.J. Schiller, Kevin Sullivan, Joe Sweeney, Kevin Callahan, Pat Forbringer, Anthony Lopez, Nicholas Mehn, Zach Scott, Tyler Sill, Danny Walker, Anthony Kopp, Joe Froelich, Eric McCullough, Kraig Ladd, and Marty Roche; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the members of the Titan Baseball Team on the occasion of the team's 2010 championship season and wish them continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Illinois Wesleyan Baseball Team as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
