HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the coaches and players of the Maine South Hawks football team on the occasion of winning the IHSA Class 8A State football championship; and

WHEREAS, The Maine South Hawks defeated the Hinsdale Central Red Devils by the score of 41-21 at Memorial Stadium at the University of Illinois to become the IHSA Class 8A State football champions on November 29, 2008, giving the Hawks their first State football championship win since 2000; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Maine South Hawks football team are Joey Orlando, Ronnie Muck, Neil McConville, Jordan Malin, Kevin Maloney, John Alviti, Charlie Goro, Andrew James, Mike DiVito, Brendan Cronin, Tom O'Grady, Matt Butch, Alex Romano, Tyler Benz, Chris Mahoney, Eric Butch, Sam Chwarzynski, Mike Allegretti, Mike McGrath, Chance Kuykendall, Yani Markos, Ryan Clark, Robert Cardenas, Cody Fallico, Corby Ryan, Mark Farrell, Matt Perez, Adam Mueller, John Butch, Jeff Boggs, Matt Cummins, Steve Rago, Sean Glasebrook, Demos Tingas, Kevin Karrasch, Louis Pelligrino, Nick Swarbrick, Joe Calabrese, Mike Cummins, Jack Pierce, Pat Klimmeck, Eric Baker, Mike Cichowski, Alex Cichowski, Matt Heraty, Mike Zimmerman, Chris Brassell, Dan Rankovic, Mike Bartley, Garrett Weiberg, Mike Cooney, Pat King, Tony Aukett, Alex Spanos, Nick Catino, Chris Ng, Zach Timm, Dan Murray, Patrick Sweetman, Victor Nelson, Danny Garcea, Sean Zingsheim, Zach Glasebrook, Connor Doherty, Marty Brun, Jerry Shim, Joe Kashul, PJ Killean, Ryan Tarpey, Alec Long, John Trexler, Joe Zdunczyk, Will Krug, Jimmy Frankos, Marcus Nelli, Frank Colletti, Sean Sullivan, Julian Cardonna, Justin Czerwionka, Andrew Terenzio, Luke Motely, Doug Rogers, Conor Klein, and Lee Toulon; the team's head coach is Dave Inserra and the assistant coaches are Charlie Bliss, Rick Magsamen, Pat Manning, John Manchester, Tom Mendez, and Matt Pater; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Maine South Hawks football team serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the coaches and players of the Maine South Hawks football team on the occasion of winning the IHSA Class 8A State football championship and wish them continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Maine South Hawks football head coach Dave Inserra as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
