HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, Access to quality emergency care dramatically
3improves the survival and recovery rate of those who experience
4sudden illness or injury; and
 
5    WHEREAS, The emergency medical services system consists of
6emergency physicians, emergency nurses, emergency medical
7technicians, paramedics, firefighters, educators,
8administrators, and many others; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Dr. Kent Bailey has been a key member of this
10team, receiving his Internal Medicine Board Certification in
111986; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Dr. Kent Bailey began working as an Emergency Room
13Physician for the former Condell Medical Center, receiving his
14Emergency Department Board Certification in 1990; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Dr. Kent Bailey was the Associate Hospital Medical
16Director from 1987 to 1990 for Condell Hospital and provided
17key leadership as the Project Medical Director for the Condell
18Emergency Medical Service System from 1999 until his retirement
19as the Project Medical Director in December of 2010; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Dr. Kent Bailey has been a visionary leader,

1promoting strong pre-hospital care, training, and standards to
2the communities in the now Advocate Condell Emergency Medical
3System, providing state-of-the-art emergency medical services;
4he should be recognized for his great accomplishments and
5talent; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
7NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
8congratulate Dr. Kent Bailey for his years of service and
9commitment to the emergency medical field; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That we join the citizens and members of the fire
11department in the Advocate Condell Medical System in their
12appreciation and thanks for Dr. Kent Bailey's dedication to the
13health and well-being of the communities he served; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to Dr. Kent Bailey as an expression of our esteem and
17gratitude.
