HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of David M. Coffee of Streamwood, who passed away on January 2, 2011; and

WHEREAS, David Coffee was born on December 27, 1949, in Aurora; and

WHEREAS, David Coffee served his country with pride and distinction as a member of the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War; and

WHEREAS, David Coffee was employed with the Streamwood Police Department for 27 years; and

WHEREAS, David Coffee was the beloved husband for 35 years of Kathy, nee Bosshart; the loving father of Heather Coffee; the stepfather of Rick Soto and the late Heide Soto; the cherished grandfather of Rachel Soto and April and Collin Coffee; the caring son of the late Edward and Patricia nee Weber; the stepson of Carol Coffee; the dear brother of Marla McDevitt and Patricia Plotcher; and the step-brother of the late Ron and Tom Plotcher; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of David M. Coffee; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of David Coffee as an expression of our sympathy.
