HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Kevin Sabato of Gurnee on the occasion of attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout on December 22, 2008; and

WHEREAS, Kevin Sabato was a member of the Cub Scouts from September of 1998 to March of 2003; he then became a member of the Boy Scouts, becoming a Scout in March of 2003; once again showing great initiative, he rose through the Boy Scout ranks until he reached the pinnacle of achievement within the organization, the rank of Eagle Scout; in total, he has earned 34 Merit Badges; and

WHEREAS, Kevin Sabato has served in many positions of responsibility within the Boy Scouts, including Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Troop Guide, Patrol Leader, Quartermaster, and Grubmaster; and

WHEREAS, Kevin Sabato is a student at Carmel Catholic High School in Mundelein; he is a member of the school's Service Club, Bowling Club, and French Club, as well as the Scholastic Bowl; he is also a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and La Societe Honoraire de Francais; and

WHEREAS, Kevin Sabato's family, friends, and fellow Scouts, along with the members of this body, are proud of his hard work and dedication in gaining this prestigious rank; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Kevin Sabato on the occasion of attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Kevin Sabato as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
