HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Ted Mueller, former Mayor of the Village of Hainesville, on his retirement; and

WHEREAS, He began his time as Mayor in 2001; he previously served as a Village Trustee from 1995 to 2001; he is known for asking "Does anyone know what today is?" and for being the oldest mayor in the oldest village in Lake County; and

WHEREAS, He started the Hainesville Police Department and oversaw construction of the bicycle path; he was always available to residents of the community and serving their needs; and

WHEREAS, He is a Veteran of the United States Navy and served his country in World War II; and

WHEREAS, He is a registered professional engineer in both Illinois and Missouri and served on many professional society committees; and

WHEREAS, He has been married to his wife, Barb, for fifty-eight years; they have three children, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; he enjoys fishing and traveling to Branson, Missouri to fish there; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Ted Mueller on his retirement and wish him well in his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Ted Mueller as a symbol of our respect.
