HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate John Douglas Campbell of Boy Scout Troop 77 in Gurnee on the occasion of attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout; and

WHEREAS, John is a member of the Order of the Arrow and earned the Parvuli Dei religious award while serving as a Cub Scout and the Ad Altare Dei religious award as a Boy Scout; and

WHEREAS, To achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, John Campbell undertook the plan to execute a blood drive which collected over 35 units of blood for the Gurnee Blood Center; and

WHEREAS, He has been involved in scouting since the second grade and earned the Arrow of Light as a Cub Scout, the highest award available as a Cub Scout; and

WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout will be bestowed upon John Campbell by the Boy Scouts of America at a Court of Honor ceremony on January 3, 2010; and

WHEREAS, John Campbell serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate John Douglas Campbell of Boy Scout Troop 77 on the occasion of attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to John Douglas Campbell as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
