Amends the Nursing Home Care Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning licensure.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning regulation.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Nursing Home Care Act is amended by changing Section 3-101 as follows:

(210 ILCS 45/3-101) (from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 4153-101)

Sec. 3-101. The Department shall shall establish a comprehensive system of licensure for facilities in accordance with this Act for the purposes of:

(1) Protecting the health, welfare, and safety of residents; and

(2) Assuring the accountability for reimbursed care provided in certified facilities participating in a federal or State health program.
