SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of United States Marine Corps Lance Corporal Kenneth A. Corzine, who passed away on December 24, 2010; and

WHEREAS, LCpl. Kenneth Corzine was born on May 4, 1987, in Wood River; he was the son of Kenneth and Carla (Davis) Corzine; and

WHEREAS, LCpl. Kenneth Corzine graduated from Civic Memorial High School in 2005; he lived in the Bethalto area his entire life; and

WHEREAS, LCpl. Kenneth Corzine served his country with bravery and distinction as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps' 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment; and

WHEREAS, LCpl. Kenneth Corzine enjoyed scuba diving and was involved in the Junior Olympics in Taekwondo; and

WHEREAS, LCpl. Kenneth Corzine was preceded in death by his uncle, Bobby Davis; and

WHEREAS, LCpl. Kenneth Corzine is survived by his parents; his grandparents, Sharon Collins and Bob and Betty Davis; his daughter, Macy; his brother, Lance Corporal Nicholas Corzine; his uncle and aunt, James "Allen" and Diane Corzine; and his cousins, Joseph Corzine, U.S. Army Private Blake Corzine, Brian Corzine, and U.S. Marine Corps Lance Corporal Michael Benton; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of United States Marine Corps Lance Corporal Kenneth A. Corzine; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of LCpl. Kenneth Corzine as an expression of our sympathy.
