SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of United States Marine Corps Lance Corporal
4Kenneth A. Corzine, who passed away on December 24, 2010; and
 
5    WHEREAS, LCpl. Kenneth Corzine was born on May 4, 1987, in
6Wood River; he was the son of Kenneth and Carla (Davis)
7Corzine; and
 
8    WHEREAS, LCpl. Kenneth Corzine graduated from Civic
9Memorial High School in 2005; he lived in the Bethalto area his
10entire life; and
 
11    WHEREAS, LCpl. Kenneth Corzine served his country with
12bravery and distinction as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps'
133rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment; and
 
14    WHEREAS, LCpl. Kenneth Corzine enjoyed scuba diving and was
15involved in the Junior Olympics in Taekwondo; and
 
16    WHEREAS, LCpl. Kenneth Corzine was preceded in death by his
17uncle, Bobby Davis; and
 
18    WHEREAS, LCpl. Kenneth Corzine is survived by his parents;
19his grandparents, Sharon Collins and Bob and Betty Davis; his

1daughter, Macy; his brother, Lance Corporal Nicholas Corzine;
2his uncle and aunt, James "Allen" and Diane Corzine; and his
3cousins, Joseph Corzine, U.S. Army Private Blake Corzine, Brian
4Corzine, and U.S. Marine Corps Lance Corporal Michael Benton;
5therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
8his family and friends, the passing of United States Marine
9Corps Lance Corporal Kenneth A. Corzine; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of LCpl. Kenneth Corzine as an
12expression of our sympathy.
