SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Harry J. Lesniak of Burbank, who passed away on January 2, 2009; and

WHEREAS, He was born on October 9, 1919 in Oglesby; and

WHEREAS, He owned and operated Midwest Hardware at 79th and Narragansett Streets in Burbank; he had a strong work ethic and a sincere devotion to his family; and

WHEREAS, He enjoyed golf, family outings, watching football games on Sunday afternoons, and cards; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his son, Jerry; and

WHEREAS, Harry Lesniak is survived by his wife of 61 years, Grace (Maes); his sons, Tom (Gretakay) and Dan (Chris); his daughters, Peggy (Stephen) and Cindy (Tim); his daughter-in-law, Marge; fourteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Harry Lesniak; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Harry Lesniak as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
