SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Senobia Collins of Chicago, who passed away on April 16, 2009; and

WHEREAS, She was born on February 16, 1924 to Mamie White in Kenton, Tennessee, the second of four children; and

WHEREAS, She was united in marriage to John Collins; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, John; and her brother, Ed White; and

WHEREAS, Senobia Collins is survived by her daughter, Eleanor Faye White; her sister, Izola White; her sister, Maggie Skaggs; her nieces, nephews, a host of cousins, and special friends, Larry Pruitt and Larry Richards; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Senobia Collins; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Senobia Collins as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
