SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Philip J. "P.J." Rarick of Troy, who passed away on May 25, 2009; and

WHEREAS, He was born October 26, 1965, in Belleville; and

WHEREAS, He was a Madison County Deputy Chief Probation Officer with many years of dedicated service; and

WHEREAS, He is survived and will be dearly missed by his parents, retired Illinois Supreme Court Justice Philip J. and Janet N. (Arnovitz) Rarick Sr.; his daughter, Katlyn Elizabeth Rarick; his former wife, Mary Carolyn Rarick; his aunts and uncles, Michael Rarick, Charles Rarick, Jane and Donald Alch, and Eleanor and Thomas Shulman; and other extended family and many dear friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Philip "P.J." Rarick; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Philip "P.J." Rarick as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
