SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lois Deane Tippin of Springfield; and

WHEREAS, Lois Tippin was born on September 6, 1948, in Jacksonville; her parents were Maurice and Helen Driver; she married Daryl Tippin on July 21, 1979; and

WHEREAS, Lois Tippin was a graduate of Jacksonville High School; she earned her bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University; and

WHEREAS, Lois Tippin was employed at McGraw-Hill as a Plan Center Coordinator for 14 years; she was also a former teacher's aide in School District #186 and an interior designer; and

WHEREAS, Lois Tippin was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Springfield; and

WHEREAS, Lois Tippin enjoyed gardening, working in her flower beds, spending time with her family and friends, and animals, particularly her cat, Buster; and

WHEREAS, Lois Tippin is survived by her parents; her siblings, Connie (Gary) Braner and Wes Driver; her children, Joshua and Jenna; her former husband, Daryl; her 2 aunts; and her many cousins, nieces, and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Lois Deane Tippin; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lois Tippin as an expression of our sympathy.
