SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Dolores A. Gonzalez of Belleville, formerly of Cahokia, who passed away on February 26, 2010; and

WHEREAS, Dolores Gonzalez was born on February 8, 1935, in East St. Louis; and

WHEREAS, Dolores Gonzalez was a former primary grade school teacher at Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Centreville, then a kindergarten teacher for Holy Family Catholic School in Cahokia for more than 15 years; and

WHEREAS, Dolores Gonzalez was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church in Belleville; and

WHEREAS, Dolores Gonzalez was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Elsie, nee Moore, Costello, Sr.; and her brothers, Daniel E. Costello Jr. and Joseph E. Costello; and

WHEREAS, Dolores Gonzalez is survived by her husband, Julio Gonzalez; her daughters, Julia (Timothy) Kentch and Angie (Tony) Bates; her grandchildren, Andrew, Michael, Kathy, Autumn, and Ali; her sister, Pat Lindsay; her brothers, Michael T. (Patrice) Costello and U.S. Congressman Jerry F. (Georgia) Costello; her sister-in-law, Judy Costello; and her many nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Dolores A. Gonzalez; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Dolores Gonzalez as an expression of our sympathy.
