SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mike Toennies of Trenton, who passed away May 9, 2010; and

WHEREAS, He was born on August 17, 1968, in Belleville; and

WHEREAS, He was the owner and operator of B&M Portable Welding in Albers; his true hobby was working; and

WHEREAS, Mike Toennies was preceded in death by his mother, Alice, nee Holtmann, Toennies; his maternal grandparents, George and Mary, nee Huene, Holtmann; and his paternal grandparents, Tony and Clara, nee Olliges, Toennies; and

WHEREAS, Mike Toennies is survived by his father and step mother, Adrian and Trudy Toennies; his daughter, Rylee Toennies; his brothers and sisters, Duane (Shirley) Toennies, Joyce Emig, Jan (Todd) Isaak, Connie (Joe) Brinker, Tracy (Mike) Emig, and Terry (Melissa) Toennies; and his 14 nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Mike Toennies; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mike Toennies as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
