SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Carole Ann Van Dahm of Hinsdale, who passed away on August 12, 2010; and

WHEREAS, Carole Van Dahm was born on November 30, 1940 in Hinsdale; she was the youngest of five children; she graduated from Downers Grove North High School in 1958, and became a licensed Realtor in Hinsdale and assistant manager at the Ronald McDonald House at Loyola; and

WHEREAS, Carole was active in CoACH Care Center (AKA Almost Home Kids, Inc.), co-founded by her daughter, Denise, and Victory Ranch, a Christian youth ranch founded by her daughter, Vicki; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Louis Rosinski; and

WHEREAS, Carole Ann Van Dahm is survived by her siblings, Marylin (George) Andel, Jerry Rosinski, and Betty (Ken) Foster; her daughters, Vicki (Denny) Baum and Denise (Tim) Callarman; her son, Shawn (Carleen) Van Dahm; her ten grandchildren; her six great-grandchildren; her nieces, nephews, and other relatives; and her golden girls; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Carole Ann Van Dahm; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Carole Ann Van Dahm as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
