SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Gary Thomas Marschke, Supervisor of
4DuPage Township, who passed away on March 9, 2025; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Gary Marschke was born on January 22, 1946; he
6served in the U.S. Navy; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Gary Marschke, a resident of DuPage Township
8since 1987, was elected as Supervisor of DuPage Township in
9April 2021; he served his community with unwavering integrity
10and compassion, particularly dedicating himself to the seniors
11at the Levy Center and envisioning a new food pantry to support
12those in need; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Gary Marschke also served the DuPage Township
14Democratic Organization, where he worked tirelessly to ensure
15the organization remained committed to providing service for
16all; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Gary Marschke's legacy will live on through his
18steadfast dedication to service; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Gary Marschke was the husband of Lori (Dunn)
20Marschke for 54 years, the father of Christine (Tom) Boras,

1the grandfather of five, the brother-in-law of Larry (Meagan)
2Dunn and Linda (Mike) Blanchard, and the brother and uncle of
3many; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Gary Thomas Marschke, Supervisor of DuPage Township, and
7extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all
8who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Gary Marschke as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
