SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Charles Robert "Chuck" Maskel of
4Pekin, who passed away on December 8, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Chuck Maskel was born in Georgetown to Jess and
6Effie (Good) Maskel on June 6, 1928; he served in the U.S.
7Army; he married Leatha Mae Gray in Bloomington on May 21,
81949; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Chuck Maskel worked in the rod mill for Keystone
10Wire & Steel in Bartonville, retiring in 1982; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Chuck Maskel enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening,
12and reading western novels written by William Johnstone; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Chuck Maskel was preceded in death by his wife,
14Leatha; his parents; his granddaughter, Brandi Maskel; his
15sisters, Dorothy, Juanita, and Midge; his brothers, Frank,
16Clarence, and J.D.; and his sister-in-law, Mary Maskel; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Chuck Maskel is survived by his daughters,
18Juliann (Tom) Slicko and Dawn Maskel; his grandchildren,
19Brittany Maskel, Joshua (Hanna) Wagner, and Mallory Wagner;
20his great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Maskel, Breanna Maskel,

1Patience Toungett, Dayton Williams, Bentley Moore, Titan
2Moore, Joshua Wagner, and Charlotte Wagner; his brother, Bill
3Maskel; and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Charles Robert "Chuck" Maskel and extend our sincere
7condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
8him; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Chuck Maskel as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
