| 1 | | SENATE RESOLUTION | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Chelsea Jamilex Adolphus, who passed | 4 | | away on January 23, 2025; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, Chelsea Adolphus was born to Paul and Yolanda | 6 | | Adolphus on March 24, 1996; she graduated from Waukegan High | 7 | | School in 2014; and | 8 | | WHEREAS, Chelsea Adolphus enjoyed being a nanny to | 9 | | seniors, but her career aspiration was to own her own hair | 10 | | salon; and | 11 | | WHEREAS, Chelsea Adolphus had a passion for dancing and | 12 | | loved to be around her family and friends, brightening the | 13 | | room with her laugh and smile; she also enjoyed cooking; one of | 14 | | the highlights of her life was being baptized by Pastor Marvin | 15 | | Bembry; and | 16 | | WHEREAS, Chelsea Adolphus was preceded in death by her | 17 | | maternal grandparents, Almeric and Gregoria Bradley; her aunt, | 18 | | Saritah Bradley; and her uncle, Luis Bradley; and | 19 | | WHEREAS, Chelsea Adolphus is survived by her parents; her | 20 | | brothers, Paul Adolphus Jr. and Jayden Adolphus; her paternal |
