SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

70 ILCS 210/25.4.1 new

Amends the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority Act. Requires that the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority use Illinois motor coach operators when entering into a contract or agreement for motor coach services for all trade shows at McCormick Place and Navy Pier. Effective immediately.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority Act is amended by adding Section 25.4.1 as follows:

(70 ILCS 210/25.4.1 new)

Sec. 25.4.1. Contracts for motor coach services. Whenever possible, the Authority shall use Illinois motor coach operators at competitive rates when entering into a contract or agreement for motor coach services for all trade shows at McCormick Place and Navy Pier.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
