1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, Local communities are facing a budget crisis for
3 critical services; and

4     WHEREAS, The Illinois Emergency Management Agency
5 determines the amount of funding available for the Emergency
6 Management Agency grant program prior to the award of any
7 grants, based on the level of funding provided by the Federal
8 Emergency Management Agency; and

9     WHEREAS, Some local communities receive very little
10 compensation from this grant; therefore, be it

11     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
12 NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
13 the Illinois Emergency Management Agency examine the way it
14 distributes these funds to insure equitable distribution of the
15 funds; and be it further

16     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17 presented to the Illinois Emergency Management Agency.
