HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to honor Dr. Carl E. King, Sr. on the occasion of his 25 years of dedicated service as Pastor at Christ Community Church; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Carl King, Sr. has served as a minister for over 30 years; he and his wife have lived in Thornton Township for many years; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Carl King, Sr. has been an active member of his community; he serves as chaplain for the South Holland Police and Fire Departments; he serves on the South Holland Education Commission and is the former president of Thornton Township District 205 Board of Education; he is a past president and member of the South Holland Ministerial Association; his church has also sponsored the Adopt a District School Learning Program; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Carl King, Sr. will celebrate his 25th anniversary of service to his community with an event in his honor on October 13, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Carl King, Sr. serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we honor Dr. Carl E. King, Sr. on the occasion of his 25 years of dedicated service and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Dr. Carl E. King, Sr. as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
