HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the River Ridge/Scales Mound Wildcats girls basketball team for their second place finish at the IHSA Class 1A State Tournament; and

WHEREAS, After a hard-fought battle, the River Ridge/Scales Mound Wildcats lost to the West Central Cougars 29-26 and took second place at the IHSA Class 1A State Tournament; the team ended their season with a phenomenal 28-1 record, which included a 25-game winning streak; and

WHEREAS, The members of the River Ridge/Scales Mound Wildcats are Nikki Dubord, Tori Soat, Ashley Brant, Kaitlyn Pleau, Courtney Busch, Megan Altfillisch, Jen Thoren, Whitney Kieffer, Jessie Albrecht, Johanna Werner, Lauren Winter, and Allison McLane; the team coaches are Brian Wurster, Dave Wiegel, and Jordan Williams; and

WHEREAS, The members of the River Ridge/Scales Mound Wildcats serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the members of the River Ridge/Scales Mound Wildcats girls basketball team for their second place finish at the IHSA Class 1A State Tournament and wish them success and happiness in their future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the River Ridge/Scales Mound Wildcats girls basketball team as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
