1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to welcome Lena Dickemann of
4 Germany to the United States and the State of Illinois as part
5 of the 2010-11 Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program; and

6     WHEREAS, She is staying with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hanna of
7 Murphysboro; and

8     WHEREAS, Participants in the program spend 10 months in the
9 United States, living with host families, learning about
10 American society, and teaching Americans about Germany and its
11 people; and

12     WHEREAS, Lena won special recognition in her country by
13 winning the Congress-Bundestag Scholarship; and

14     WHEREAS, Lena is from Oberderdingen, Germany and is
15 sponsored by Axel E. Fischer, a member of the German
16 Parliament; therefore, be it

17     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
19 we welcome Lena Dickemann to the United States and the State of
20 Illinois and wish her the very best while she is here; and be

2     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
3 presented to Lena Dickemann as a symbol of our respect and
4 esteem.
